Who we are
CallGuard NG (“the app”) is published by Peresoft Digital Innovations Ltd (“Peresoft”, “we”, “us”), a company founded in Nigeria. This policy explains what the app does with your information.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no internet permission, so it cannot send your rules, contacts, call history or anything else to Peresoft or to anyone else. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We do not sell personal data.
What the app keeps on your phone
- The blocking rules and settings you create, and your chosen colour theme.
- A log of recently blocked calls: the number, the time and the rule that matched. It keeps the latest 500 entries; the lifetime total is kept even if you delete log entries.
- Numbers you mark as spam, kept on the phone only.
- Schedules and the contacts you pick for quiet hours.
Permissions the app asks for
- Call screening role — lets Android hand incoming calls to the app so calls that match your rules can be rejected. The app sees the incoming number only to compare it with your rules.
- Contacts (read) — for the “calls from outside my contacts” rule and for choosing contacts for quiet hours.
- Contacts (write) — only to switch “send to voicemail” on for a contact you scheduled for quiet hours, and off again afterwards. The app does not add, edit or delete your contacts’ details.
- Call log (read) — to recognise call-trap patterns, such as several missed calls from one number, on your phone.
- Camera — only to scan a QR code containing a rule bundle.
- Notifications — to tell you when a call was blocked.
- Run at startup — to restore your schedules after the phone restarts.
Every permission is optional to the extent Android allows; features that need a permission you decline simply stay off.
Sharing rules
You can share your rules by QR code or link. A shared link carries the rules in the part after the “#”, which browsers keep on your device and do not send to a server. The person who receives it sees a preview before any rule is applied. Rules you share are in your control; we do not receive them.
Backups
Android backup is switched off for the app, so its data is not copied to cloud backups.
Your control
You can edit or delete any rule, clear the blocked-call log, revoke any permission in Android settings, or uninstall the app, which deletes everything it saved. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side.
Children
CallGuard NG is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page and the “last updated” date changes. Where a change is significant we will also tell you in the product.
