Who we are
Peresoft Digital Innovations Ltd (“Peresoft”, “we”, “us”) is a technology company founded in Nigeria. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this website and through the products we publish, and we handle that data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and other applicable data protection laws.
Product privacy pages
Each Peresoft product has its own privacy page covering how that product handles personal data.
This website
You can browse this website without creating an account or giving us any personal information. The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and fonts and images are served from our own domain.
Like any website, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver pages and protect the service against abuse. If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we use the details you send only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.
How we use personal data
We use personal data only where we have a lawful basis under the NDPA, for example:
- To provide our products and services, including features you ask for and customer support.
- To keep our products secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
- To communicate with you about your account, your requests and important changes.
- To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
- With your consent, for anything optional, such as marketing messages. You can withdraw consent at any time.
We do not sell personal data.
Sharing and international transfers
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run our products (such as hosting, payment, messaging and email providers), under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions; and where the law requires us to. Some providers may process data outside Nigeria. When that happens, we rely on the safeguards the NDPA requires for such transfers.
Retention and security
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires, and then delete or anonymise it. We use technical and organisational measures, such as encryption in transit and access controls, to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Your rights
Under the NDPA you have the right to:
- be informed about how your personal data is used;
- access a copy of your personal data;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted, or its use restricted, in certain circumstances;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- object to processing, including direct marketing; and
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that has already taken place.
To use these rights, see Data deletion and data requests. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Children
Our products are not directed at children unless a product's own privacy page says otherwise, and we do not knowingly collect a child's personal data without the consent required by law. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products and the law change. We will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date and, where the change is significant, tell users through the affected product.
