Who we are
RadioSynq (“the service”) is published by Peresoft Digital Innovations Ltd (“Peresoft”, “we”, “us”), a company founded in Nigeria, which is the data controller for personal data processed through it. We handle that data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other applicable law. Where an organisation such as a station, label or partner uses RadioSynq for its own team or audience, it is responsible for its own use of that data.
What we collect
- Account details — name, email address, role (artist, station, label, advertiser, listener or partner), password (stored only in protected form), and organisation and team details.
- Profile and business information — artist and station profiles, press kits, catalogue and contributor information, licences, schedules and stream URLs you register.
- Airplay data — music identified on registered public radio streams: the station, time, track and confidence score. We analyse the audio of public broadcasts; we do not record your microphone.
- Royalty and payment data — royalty estimates, splits, statements, payout and billing details. Card payments are handled by our payment processor and we do not store full card numbers.
- Listener activity — favourites, playlists, following, listening sessions and play history.
- Marketplace and messages — bookings, orders, reviews and messages between users.
- Artist–fan information — if you are a fan of an artist who uses the fan tools, the information and activity you give that artist may be recorded for them.
- Security and device data — sign-in activity, device and session records, IP address, and diagnostic events used to keep accounts safe and fix problems.
- Connected accounts — if you link a service such as Spotify, the account details you authorise it to share.
How we use it
- To provide the service: identify music, record plays, calculate royalty estimates and show analytics.
- To run accounts, billing, payouts, the marketplace and support.
- To detect fraud and abuse and to keep the service secure.
- To send service messages and, where you have agreed, product updates.
- To improve the service and to meet legal obligations.
Royalty figures are estimates
Royalty and earnings figures are calculated from confirmed plays and the rules set for your account. They are estimates, not guarantees of payment.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data with people you authorise (for example a label or collaborator you invite), with other users to the extent you publish a profile, and with service providers who help us run RadioSynq: hosting and databases, payment processing, email delivery, music-recognition providers (which receive audio from public radio streams, not from you) and connected services you choose to link. We may disclose data where the law requires or to protect rights and safety.
Retention and security
We keep personal data while your account is active and as needed for royalty, accounting, dispute and legal purposes, then delete or anonymise it. We protect data with role-based access, audit logs and encrypted connections, but no system is perfectly secure.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent at any time. See Data deletion and data requests. Some records, such as financial statements, may have to be kept for a period required by law.
Children
RadioSynq is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page and the “last updated” date changes. Where a change is significant we will also tell you in the product.
