Using Where I Am
Where I Am is published by Peresoft Digital Innovations Ltd. It shows where you are, finds places near you and lets you share your location. By installing or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall it.
Accuracy
Locations, place names, landmarks, distances, travel times, opening hours and directions come from your phone and from third-party map data. They can be wrong, out of date or missing, and coverage varies a lot between countries and between cities and rural areas. Places without published hours are never shown as open. Use your own judgement.
Emergencies
The “I need help” screen is a convenience. It is not an emergency service and does not contact anyone for you. In an emergency call your local emergency number directly, and do not rely on the app, a data connection or a GPS fix. Emergency numbers differ between countries (112 works in many places but not everywhere, and some countries use 911, 999, 000 or others), so make sure you know the number for where you are.
Sharing your location
You decide who receives your location, and you are responsible for sharing it only with people you trust. Anyone who has a share link can see what it contains until it ends. Live sharing ends when you stop it or when its time runs out. Do not use the app to track or locate someone without their knowledge.
Third-party data
Map and place data come from OpenStreetMap contributors, TomTom and other providers, each under its own terms and licence. Their data may be displayed with attribution.
Acceptable use
Use the app lawfully. Do not abuse the location service, for example by sending automated or excessive requests.
No warranty and liability
Where I Am is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty, including for inaccurate locations, closed or missing places, failed shares or routes that are unsafe or unavailable. To the extent the law allows, Peresoft Digital Innovations Ltd is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, Where I Am. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, where Peresoft is based. This does not take away the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country where you live, and where that law lets you bring a claim in your local courts, you keep that right. Otherwise, the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute. Please contact us first; most issues are resolved quickly.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time with new versions of the app. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the product after an update means you accept the new terms. Questions? Contact us.
